Sheraton Vistana (SVR) and Guest Certificates

Does anybody know if SVR requires guest certificates, and if yes, how much do they cost?

Do you own at SVR and are making an owner reservation? If so, you can just ask Vistana to add a name to it and it is free. If you obtained it through an exchange or getaway through II or RCI, then you will need to pay for a guest certificate.

Clarification: You have to call Owner Services or go online with the guest's first and last name as listed on their ID, city, state, and the number of children/adults. You can once again request guest confirmations online which is far superior and a LOT more accurate than calling. The phone Reps make a lot of typos on names.

- Log into your Vistana Account
- Find the confirmation
- Click: VIEW DETAILS
- Click: CHANGE GUEST NAME
- Click: CHANGE GUEST NAME again
- Click: CONTINUE
(If the "continue" button doesn't work, try a different browser. For me Safari didn't work but Firefox did work)
- Enter the required info - only the boxes with *asterisks*
- Click: CONTINUE
- Click: Agree to terms
- Click: SUBMIT

do they charge you online too? If I'm making a star options reservation, and my friend/family is arriving before me, I would expect a charge for the name change.

Wow, so I just changed a guest name myself, which was awesome to be able to do it myself and not call. We own just deeded float weeks and don't have to pay, so it's just so great to be able to add names without a phone call. When did this happen? This is a new thing.

Why does Vistana care about the number of people who will be staying? I think it's a weird question.

Why does Vistana care about the number of people who will be staying? I think it's a weird question.

All I know about this is I booked a 2 bedroom unit at WSJ that slept 8. I put down 4 names on our reservation. They tried to put me in a 2 BR that only slept 6 (one less actual bed) I will never fill out the form with fewer names than the occupancy of my unit. Clark Kent and Diana Prince will be traveling with me when needed!:D
