My family loves Vermont and have spent time in Woodstock, Binghamton, and Londonderry. On impulse, we bid on a Even Year summer week at Smuggler Notch and a float spring and fall Odd year contract and won for a $1. We are aware that Wydham has obtain a portion of the resort and that there are growing feelings of a "second class" owner if your not Wyndham, as wyndham owners already, I am not surprised. I am curious is there any other down fall to owning a non Wyndham week? Any review of Tamarack units, Smuggler's Notch Summer ownership, and pitfalls are welcome. We have 3 children- 2 adults (20s) and a 15 year old. We enjoy hiking, running, swimming and cycling. Additionally, photography is a hobby. We think that Smuggler's Notch would be a great home base for our activities.

I own a non-Wyndham week at Smuggler's Notch. We own a fixed week with an optional float. We love our fixed week. The one thing I will point out is that you will only have access to the pool in your area (North Hill in your case) unless you purchase a benefits package for your family. The benefits package is an additional expense. The package includes free camps for your kids and access to the additional pools and activities. If you don't elect to purchase the benefits (sold as 10 or 20 year packages per person), then you will need to purchase a SmuggsPass for your unit when you use your week (summer SmuggsPass is about $350/unit/week).

The North Hill area is very nice. Some units are a little removed from the village and can be a walk into the village. There is a free shuttle though that will pick you up and take you anywhere.
