Some changes in TV services

apparently MVC is upgrading the TV system to now include a few streaming channels such as Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, pandora, Bluetooth and Crackle (plus a couple of others). There is a clickable box to clear all your personal data from the system. You still have to have your own account with these services but they’re available. You can also view your bill and check out from Your TV. There is a clickable link to take you to the weather forecast and a channel guide.

At Ocean Pointe this past week, I was unable to change the input on the living room TV to use my Firestick. There was no option to access any of the streaming channels either. I was able to use the Firestick in one of the bedrooms. Maybe they are in the midst of the changeover?

We were in Pompano last week at Ocean Pointe. They were in the process of updating then. Apparently they didn’t have all the rooms done yet

There is almost always an option to use the streaming stick....it's just how much pain you wish to endure to achieve the goal....

If it's built in though.....sounds great!

We were at OceanWatch the last two (2) weeks in November and they did not mention this change in the television service.

We are at the Manor Club this week and they do not have the new streaming channels.

We have started to travel with our Apple TV. We don’t watch too much tv, but when we do, want to watch what we want.

Set up is relatively simple. Plug in and a call to the help desk so that they can manually add the device to the WiFi.

I was at a Vidanta resort in Nuevo Vallarta two weeks ago where the TVs gave you the option of using your Netflix account on the TV. Same with the Marriott Marquis in NYC this past weekend. Seems to be a trend in hotel TVs.

Got a notice today on the door at Marriott koolina. They are upgrading the cable tv in kona tower tomorrow. I will report back what if any differences with the upgrade.

I was at the Fairways this month and they did not have any streaming capability. My $39 still works fine.
