Good evening.

I received a confirmation exchange a couple days ago and checked the reservation number (not confirmation number)on SPG but it says no reservation can be found. I tried calling SPG and gave the details, also unsuccessful. I know the risk is low, but prefer waiting until I can confirm my reservation through SPG before booking any flights.

Any information you can provide regarding how long this may take is appreciated.

None of my Vistana II exchange had ever shown up on my spg account. As long as you have your II confirmation certificate and in your account, it is all that is needed.

I suspect II exchange information doesn't get passed over to Vistana resorts until a week or so away.

I think you may be used to how Marriott Vacation Club handles their reservations with Marriott.com. Vistana doesn't work the same way. You can't really look up your reservation ahead of time on the SPG website. As long as you have your II exchange confirmation certificate, you are good to go.

You can also call the resort directly to confirm. I usually do that to cover my bases.

Will the resort have your reservation that far in advance? With Marriott, the Marriott internal reservation system doesn't even send the reservations down to the hotels until a few weeks in advance of checkin. I don't know how SPG works.
