Staying in Hancock, MA the week after Easter, April 22-26. It should be in the 60's, looking for things to do as a family. Have a daughter that's 2 years old. Any tips? Things to do/avoid? Also, golf course tips. Thanks!

We stayed in the Berkshires last May. We took a trip to Norman Rockwell Muesuem in Stockbridge, MA. Beautiful grounds and museum.
We didn’t play golf so I cannot help with that.

Great resort but very isolated. Nice museum with aquarium in Pittsfield. There is a golf course nearby but not sure of name. It's our favorite resort. My grandkids live the pools. We will be there again in May.

I second the Norman Rockwell Museum and also there is the Hancock Shaker Village that is interesting. We also took a ride out to Lenox and had lunch at the historic Red Lion Inn (which was on my bucket list to see). Also there is The Mount (Edith Wharton's mansion) but I don't think it will be open in April. (Same goes for Tangelwood, which is a summer venue.)

Church on the Hill in Lenox has some interesting headstones in the cemetery if you are into that.

Drive the Mohawk Trail.

Also- visit Mount Greylock and also Bash Bish Falls. Check out Great Barrington and Pittsfield and Williamstown (beautiful) and the Francine Clark Art Institute.

MassMoCA is an art museum that is very popular. There is also a dog museum I recall as well.

This is an area packed with museums of all kinds, so if you are not into that it can get a little boring. Also- there is quite a bit of driving to do things outside of the resort.

HOWEVER- if you are into the outdoors there are trails to walk and hike and bike. Check out the Bridge of Flowers Trail for a short walk.

Been a while since we've been up there, but when we were it was quite isolated. We stayed at the newer resort up the next hill. There was a good restaurant north of there about 10-15 miles on route 7 and there was a restaurant and resort mini store near or at Bentley Brook. Keep the gas tank full as you have a ride to go anywhere from there.

Great advice, thanks everyone for the tips. Didn't realize it was so isolated. It's a good thing I like driving haha

Albany is an easy day trip too. The New York State Museum has a working historic merry go round and classic dioramas that would delight a two-year old. Then go to Troy for the Dinosaur BBQ and to marvel at the renaissance of an old industrial city.
