SWMBO and I are at Myrtle Beach Seawatch. We agreed to go to the presentation, partly because we literally have never been and also because SWMBO wanted the new directory. At any rate after some initial confusion (we are Canadian and they needed to see our passports - which they upped our 'compensation' for sorting out. Anyway, we were in an out in less than 90 minutes, very congenial guy, no hard sell and actually answered some helpful questions. I will say his explanation of why we should by more points made no sense at all - not even sure he understood what he was trying to say and all he wanted to sell us was 400,000 pts for maybe $65,000 or maybe $100,00 I don't know - but, as mentioned no pressure just told us he 'had' to make the offer and away we went. All rather painless - and we got restaurant cards and tonight went to see the Carolina Opry Christmas Show as well - very nice.

So, unicorns exist. :)

We were in New Orleans at Avenue Plaza this week. We had 2 rooms because our daughter went with us. At checkin we were told we could pick up our guest pack around the corner. We skipped it and went straight to the elevator. A couple of mornings later, we stopped to ask for directions and they got us. But, it was short and sweet. They gave us the packet and invited us to a “breakfast”. My daughter said no and that was the end of it. First time I’ve ever gotten away with just one no. Maybe they are finally getting the message.

Went to a presentation in California last weekend. Young guy named Dylan, very passionate about Wyndham, and very respectful to me (Unlike those jackwagons at Grand Desert). Threrw a couple offers at me, none worth even slightest consideration, but took no for an answer, and understood completely when my timer went off, and it was time for me to go. Got 21,000 Wyndham rewards points, and a lousy breakfast burrito......
