Contract sent Yesterday to Hyatt for RFOR. From everything I’ve read in probably will pass.
Looking ahead I need your advice to prepare for this. Questions are,
Do I have to become a member of Hyatt web page? How is it issued to me.
Is the previous owners access transferred to me?
Basically what are the steps taken in the transition from seller to buyer?
I currently have another timeshare I trade through II and know how to use the II website but
Know nothing about Hyatt.
I understand that II membership is included with the Hyatt Purchase, is this correct?
If so do I transfer my current Timeshare unit to the free Hyatt II membership and close the other?
So many questions I have!!
Thank you for all your insight, it truly is extremely valuable!

The II membership is included with the annual maintenance fee and is lumped in with the HRC points usage program. It's NOT free as you will pay for that service for EACH HRC unit you own. Own two units and you pay two fees. Hyatt's position is the points program covers all HRC reservation activities plus II actions. Therefore you are paying for more functions than with a simple II membership. You cannot transfer any non-HRC unit into the HRC II program. Thus do not cancel your existing II membership. Obviously, you cannot combine the point value of non-HRC units with HRC points.

The fact that you have to pay a fee for EACH HRC unit is just one of my major issues with the HRC program. The other issues are another story.

Thank you Kal, I’m buying directly from an owner of 16 years. Does their membership transfer to me and how? Is their something I should ask of the seller for the transfer? Just don’t know the process, trying to figure it all out.
Thanks again!

By the way, I’ve been a TUG member for a long time as Keiki, just figured out how to do the tugbbs with my tug membership name.

Ownership of the week will transfer to you once the purchase is complete. Hyatt will assign you your own (new) membership number. Without a broker or title company involved in the purchase, you'll need to personally navigate the ROFR process with Hyatt, recording of the deed at the Court House and transfer of ownership with Hyatt.

You have to look carefully at the status of the points you will receive. It could likely be a situation where you would need the owner to make reservation requests for units/resorts/weeks where you would like to stay. If you want to stay in the unit you are purchasing, the current owner should confirm usage during the owned week. That would be a function of the points status, i.e. HRPP or CUP status of the points.
