We are EOY owners @ The Resort at Cocoa Beach which we purchased from another Tugger. Thank you to that Tugger and to this website. We live in Florida and the main purpose of our purchase was the day use privileges at the resort. As we are both retired military we can stay @ Patrick Air Force Base and use the resort privileges when we opt to stay overnight in Cocoa Beach. We use our RCI points resort for our vacation exchanges. This resale purchase was based on great advice from this website; especially Ron Parise. Our question is what would be the best use of our EOY timeshare: exchange into VRI; II; rent it out; etc. Thank you to TUG and Tuggers in advance for all replies.

To advise you about renting it would be helpful to know what week you have, week number or dates, and what the maintenance fees are, annual or eoy.

Some resorts only offer day privileges of you buy from the resort not with resale. Mostly it is resorts that offer something special like skiing, waterslides or parking in areas where parking is hard to find or expensive.. We own at their sister resort Discovery Beach just up the road and I believe you do have day privileges but have you checked with the resort to make sure?

I have traded through II, RCI, and rented my week through RCB. I was pleased with all three.

I preferred II for trading. I know they had a preference with RCI in the past. It has been a number of years since I traded with RCI.

I have been pleased with II. I have traded for Marriott properties and Grand Lodge in Peak 7 in Breckenridge. We travel non peak and have been pleased
with our trades.

I also have rented my unit through the Resort. I have never had any issues with renting week when we were unable to use.

RCB is a nice resort. They are just finishing a remodel of the Lobby and I am looking forward to seeing the improvements.

The best exchange company for you completely depends on WHERE you want to go, because different exchange companies have different inventory.

I also own EOY and have had success with some nice trades using RCI. Hilton Grand in Miami was a nice exchange as well as 3 BR at Hilton Grand Orlando. In addition, this rents easily and I have done this privately and through the resort.
