I know there will be a bit of nostalgia involved, certainly on my part, in saying good-bye to the old paper tickets for the Métro. I did not know the same basic ticket had been used since 1900. They have been part of my life for over 45 years when visiting Paris. I know I have one or two tucked away in my souvenir boxes. :(:(

Having said that, we already have MetroCards for New York City, SmarTrip Cards for Washington, DC, our own Presto Cards for here in Ontario, and of course our TfL Oyster Cards for London. The Oyster card is so handy and easy to use, especially now that the buses don't even take cash. I'm sure the new Paris cards will be an improvement for accessing and using the Métro, trams, buses and RER.:thumbup:

France is usually so insistent on purely French names for things, I was surprised to see "easy" on this.
