Hello,
Does anybody know if the Timeshare Exit Team (ReedHein & Associates) is a legitimate company. They charge a lot of money upfront but give you a contract with 100% money back\ guarantee.
Thank you

Actually, if you do a search on this forum, you will see that there are numerous threads discussing this particular outfit. Most of the comments about them are shall we say, less-than-flattering.

TSET, from what I understand, is a legitimate law firm. But all it likely does is just negotiate with the resort to take your TS back. That's something you can do yourself for a lot less money. It will just take a little time and effort. Have you tried listing your TS in TUG's Bargain Deals section to give away?

We don't like any upfront fee, 'get you out of your timeshare' outfit. There are no magic words or potions to terminate a properly executed contract. Once they have your money, and have posted a For Sale ad, they can just tell you they are doing their best and to keep up the payments. You can offer it for sale yourself for free, or include a gift card with the sale.

They are likely going to charge you $3,000 or more. I would find it hard to believe that you wouldn’t find a taker very quickly if you gave away the timeshare for free PLUS a $1,500 VISA after successful closing. You would still be at least $1,000 ahead.

We see too often where someone tries to give away a worthless timeshare but still want the buyer to pay all closing and transfer costs. When it doesn’t sell they pay some outfit thousands of dollars upfront instead of sweetening their offer like the above.

Giving away a worthless timeshare takes a little effort, time and possibly some out of pocket cash by the seller. If someone doesn’t have the patience and would rather spend thousands of dollars upfront to some outfit they found on the internet, to maybe do what they promise, then by all means spend away.

welcome to TUG.

what efforts have you made thusfar to either offer your timeshare for sale for free (with you paying closing costs)...or contact the HOA to see if they would accept the ownership back if it is paid off?

Welcome to TUG. If you take our advice you just saved yourself money. Try to list your timeshare here on TUG for free, offering it for free in the Bargain section including closing costs. I recently found new owners for two of mine this way.
