We are interested in the Florida Keys. A few questions:

1) If we spend 4 days in Miami and 4 days in the Keys is that sufficient time to see the area? Is there much to do/see in the Keys other than restaurants, snorkeling and the beach/pool?

2) We are interested in staying at one of the Hyatts in Key West in mid-December 2018. We will have access to II for getaway soon because we are purchasing a Vistana (Maui) unit. We do not plan to trade, however is it feasible to get an II getaway in Dec 2018 or Jan 2019 by reserving this March?

3) Do II getaways for the Hyatt's include options for less than a week?

Thanks in advance for your responses.

Some of my favorite things to do in Key West: Mel Fisher's sunken treasure museum, Hemingway house, Lighthouse museum, Butterfly Museum, Southernmost Point, ride the conch train, go to Mallory Square at sunset and watch the performers, visit some of the bars like Sloppy Joe's, walk along Duval Street, take the fast-cat to the Dry Tortugas and visit Ft Jefferson, get some salt water taffy at Kermit's, and eat some Key Lime PIE!

Harry Truman's Little White House in Key West is worth the hour or two to tour if you like American History.

I'm not sure but if II's getaways are as cheap as RCI's then it may be worth it to pay the $300 for a week even if you are only going to use 4 nights. I have considered doing that with some of the ones that I have seen in RCI lately.

You can spend 4 days in Miami and 4 days in the Keys to see the area - but you could also spend 4 weeks seeing and doing Miami/Keys. While possible to get an II Getaway into a Key West Hyatt in December, it is not very probable. The Keys/KW are no longer a secret, so they have become popular year round - its too hot for most folks in June, July and August, but still attractive to some (Sept is the slooow month in KW.)
