It seems like this might be a common question, but I couldn't find it using the forum search. Is there a commonly used site or method for trading time share units with someone permanently? [Redacted, so not to appear to be advertising.]

If you join TUG ($15) you can post Ads for a permanent trade in our classifieds (Marketplace), but to be quite honest with you, you are unlikely to get any takers, because you are trying to trade a timeshare in an area with more supply than demand, for an area with more demand than supply - in other words, you are trying to trade up.

A better plan is to sell or give away your timeshare, and buy exactly what you want.

As difficult as it may sound it would be easier to sell yours for $0-$500 or whatever you think you could get and then find someone selling or giving away their New Orleans property than to find someone who wants what you have and has what you want. Orlando timeshares really are a dime a dozen so you are on the side with way more supply than demand.
