[2018] Two down, one under contract

So we got the check from Marriott for our Grande Chateau unit and sent back the contract to sell our Grand Vista unit to Redweek. Sold Kauai last year, so we're down to our Ren Aruba week which is listed. Hopefully that sells soon and we'll be timeshare free!

Did Marriott ROFR your Grande Chateau? I didn't think they brokered that one as they couldn't list it as a resale week...

Yup, had it under contract for $2,000 and Marriott took it. I was surprised myself, but ended up saving the closing costs!

Just got the email today; Marriott is exercising it's ROFR on our Grand Vista unit! Just saved the transfer fee!

So yesterday I dropped off the contract for the sale of our Ren Aruba week to them. They'll process the transfer and we're now timeshare free! We had some wonderful trips over the years with them and are now looking forward to future non timeshare trips. My II membership is good until the end of 2021, so we'll use it for getaways when needed. Spoiler alert; just grabbed on today. Will post about it in a new thread.
