Can anyone help me with a Westgate timeshare. A family member purchased in 2014 and has never used it. She was young active military and they didn’t take no for an answer. She had a young son with her at the time and just purchased to leave. We are trying to figure out how to use it. I have a timeshare we own wyhdam sand purchased resale. Any information will be a great help.

Is it paid off? Are the annual fees current? If she (the owner) has the member packet, they should be able to call or go online with Wastegate (sorry, they are not well thought of here) and get the information to use what she purchased. Unfortunately, it is just about worthless on the resale market, so it's only value is through use.

Generally, it's very hard to dump Westgate.

Virtually impossible with a balance owed.
Because she's military, bankruptcy or default is not an option without a huge hit on her career and record.
If you could use the week and give her some cash to help offset cost...maybe.
But, I would strongly advise against accepting the week.....it's an anchor.

Yes she is looking how to use it. She is still active military so not paying is out. I read threw her packet not much information. She called them not that helpful but we learned a little. Not worth much I guess.
