No phone calls from MVC sales/concierge trying to schedule a sales presentation during your stay. ;)

How else would I get more free trips around the world if I can't go to the presentation? I vote against said proposal! Maybe it's an option to elect out to satisfy both of us.

I don't mind getting a call or email prior to my trip, but I hate being called several times while I'm there

I certainly don't want to see any benefits that increase the MFs of the many to benefit the few. Things like comp breakfast at timeshare properties or free midweek tidy will simply be passed on to all owners in their MFs.

I’d like to see anything to help preserve some resale value in these larger portfolios. Perhaps a guaranteed buy back of 50% of what we paid. A point discount of even 5 or 10% off Explorer Collection items. I know some cruises or tours include an equal credit whether you are Presidential or Chairman. Do something a little more for Chairman, even if it is an extra $25 over Presidential. Allow Chairman a price of only $8 per Destination Point to top off our portfolio . How about a small break on maintenance fees over and above the Chairman threshold? Again, something modest is fine, like 5% off or something closer to the deal they give for the fractional Owners at Grand Residence, which are a lot less. On Marriott Rewards elections , rather than a 40 to 1 exchange, 50 to 1, to do a little better in minimizing the devaluation of Hotel points.

I was more joking, though we do always go. I know most here do not and hate them.

MFs are hard dollars, I wouldn't expect anythnig like that. Most benefits are not really tangible things that you can earn. Benefits nonetheless, but to some they may or may not be worth the added cost. Personally, being a select owner, I think the Chairman's level gets some pretty great benefits already.

One of the first posts I ever read on TUG was from somebody who'd read about a recent refurbishment that included teal ottomans but <gasp!> there wasn't one in the unit s/he got. Seriously, this person was ticked off that the ottoman wasn't teal but brown! Since then I always think of these, "what can they give us to reward our status?" posts as The Teal Ottoman Posts.

With status comes more and more frequent stays with (generally) better unit placements, longer Reservation Windows to book those stays, higher accumulation of Bonvoy Points and status, shorter deadlines for banking/borrowing DC Points with longer usage periods, access to exclusive offers, etc etc etc. A few of us TUGgers have even received handwritten welcome notes and bottles of wine from the GM's. All of that already puts owners in the lower status tiers at a disadvantage, in my opinion.

It's enough. They give the higher status tiers enough. And asking for more, especially for things that are MF's line items which will increase MF's for all owners, just doesn't seem right to me.

Chairmans has few if any selling points right now, it does need enhanced. This is as much for them as us. For them, as it's a selling point for some folks, i.e. you NEED 5000 points because you'll get chairmans, and chairmans gets you x.
