When should I post a rental ad for a June week?

I own week 25, June 23-30, in [an area where a popular summer-long festival is held]. This June week is the first week of the festival. How soon should I post an ad? I've never rented it before.

Does anyone have an idea of a fair price for a one bedroom townhouse?

Thanks.

You're not too early to list it now. Tickets for that event are already on sale, so many people have made plans.

As for the rental value, look at other rentals for your resort Redweek and other Internet sites (see the listing of timeshare resale/rental companies in the sticky thread at the top of the list of topics for this Buying, Selling, Renting forum). Also do a Google search for the name of your resort (in quotes if it's more than one word) and various combinations of selected terms that might return rental listings - such as timeshare, rental, rent, etc. Then list your week at or below the low end of what you find.

Also, for more help on the rental process, see the "how to rent" sticky thread, also at the top of the list of topics for this forum, and various articles in the appropriate section of TUG Advice (link at the top of this page).

Thank you, Dave. I'll follow up on your advice before placing an ad.

I'm wondering how to do the money transaction part of it, should I be lucky enought to rent. Will that information be available on the threads/links you suggested?

Corky -

Here are two threads (#1 and #2) that discuss what to do once you get a potential renter. Some of the discussion is from the your perspective and some, which will help you to make the negotiation and paperwork go smoothly, is from your potential occupant's standpoint.
