You can "do" Christmas without spending a lot of money.

I hardly buy any gifts. It's money, gift cards or a bottle of wine.

I do buy something small - toy/game, etc. for each grandchild to open (they don't need anymore toys/games - parents already get these gadgets for them).

Our best Christmas decoration purchase for our small second home was an artificial, pre-lighted, half Christmas tree. It hangs on the wall with the trunk either touching the floor or we hang it higher and place a gift wrapped box beneath it. Such a space saver but big enough to hold most of our ornaments and looks great!
