Ok I'm timeshare stupid own 503k point at Bonnett Creek but grandfathered into VIP gold 15 years ago. I want access to many other programs. Perks, hotels their credit card to pay maintenance fees which I were not available in 2003. Of course went to sales pitch they will be glad to do that for 26000 dollars. You aren't stupid. I think your MF at Bonnett Creek is slightly lower than Access. The perks they mention (in addition to the $26,000) are for opportunities to spend $5.50 (or so) per 1000 in MF to turn over and get $2-$3 in credit toward MF and other perks. There are other credit cards that get you annual benefits similar or better. Unless you are the type who charge $10,000-$20,000 monthly and then pay it off you aren't going to see enough credit toward your MF to make even a $5000 purchase with with wyndham worthwhile.

For some of what you referred to, you do not necessarily need to buy a new contract.

For the Perks program, I am not sure on the requirements for registration. The following is a link. Disregard any notes about the link may not be working and click on it anyway. You may have to contract Wyndham Owner Services to get answers on this one.

As Gold VIP you should already have the Perks by Wyndham and the annual fee should be paid by Wyndham. See if you can logon to the site and if not, contact owner services and have them fix it. After our first year they tried to bill us for the annual fee and I had to contact them. Turned out they had our account coded wrong or something and had to change it so that our membership would automatically renew each year.

You already have access to all the extras as VIP Gold without any additional purchases, although many of those extras (like using credit card reward points to pay MFs) aren’t worth much. A couple of times I have found some good deals on Perks for areas we were vacationing at.

Also for what its worth, if the next owner sat down at that same sales person's table who owned all access, even if they recently changed from select, would be told that they are missing out by not having select and that for $20,000+ they could switch back to a property with lower MF's than Access and their Wyndham experience would be so much better.

Interesting argument not to buy into Access as a direct purchase or re-sale.

Interesting argument not to buy into Access as a direct purchase or re-sale.
A co-worker of mine bought Club Access at a sales presentation (before I could tell him about Tuggs).
I explained the resale market, etc but in spite of this, he and his wife were convinced to buy points at the next sales presentation at Midtown NYC because the MFs were lower than access. This was only 1 year after the first purchase. I give up on educating this guy.
Avislo is correct, the sales staff will flip you back and forth as many times as they can, making $25K each time. Nuts!
