45 minutes. I wish I could have gotten the "Cliff-notes" version. The Wyndham guy says, "Buy from us. You'll get the best deal." The other guy says, "Buy resale, you'll save tons of money." Priceless. Too bad they didn't mention Tug. Worst quote from the Wyndham guy: "Our owners ultimately own all our properties." I wonder what the shareholders would say about that.

Hopefully they would say it’s true since that’s how it works.

While resorts are in active sales, Wyndham corporate does own at least part of those resorts. Once a resort is sold out to buyers, those owners do indeed own the lion's share of the resort, with a very small portion of inventory held back for the HOA, for use during refurbishment. Wyndham corporate then has profitable contracts to manage resort operations and reservation system. Shareholders own a piece of the Wyndham corporation, the development and hospitality management company. When Wyndham corporate no longer owns the sold out properties, neither do shareholders.

It would be nice to see some comments on these sites pointing to TUG.

BTW...I stopped reading TPG because it is very hype laden pushing credit cards for which they get compensated for referrals and it was acquired by a corporation so not even TPG's little blog anymore.

Lisa P ? How many Wyndham resorts are completely sold out or 3/4 sold out and the timeshare owners control the HOA?

I haven't seen any Wyndham resorts completely sold out. Now they offer up 'resale' during the Wyndham sales presentation. Also, you can find some desirable ones dumped on resale ads too.
