I just booked an accommodation certificate through II for a two bedroom at Sheraton Vistana Resort for the week before Christmas for my son, daughter-in-law and grand children, who just turned 1 and 3. Do you have any suggestions as to what buildings and what rooms to request. I'm assuming that they shouldn't plan on spending much if any time at the pool in December. When I looked at the reviews at tug2.com, I see that some of the buildings don't have elevators and others do. Ideally, they would like a quiet area with good views

Please let me know if you have any recommendations as to restaurants in the area

Thank you for your help.

There are a couple of different resorts in Orlando called Vistana. There is also Vistana Village. I found this out when we visited my Aunt and cousin who were staying at Vistana. We went to the older Vistana thinking they were there, but they were at Vistana Village, which was newer and nicer in My opinion.
There are plenty of places nearby to go to eat.
Enjoy whichever one you are going to be at.

The Interval International Code is VI6. Not sure if that helps determine the location more precisely

Since you made the elevator comment, you are clearly talking about Vistana Resort, not the Villages. Two phases have elevators - The Lakes is 4 story buildings, and Cascades are taller buildings, maybe 9 floors, don't remember. All the other phases are 2 story buildings with no elevators, or the Fountains section, which is 3 stories with no elevator. We prefer the quiet of the Lakes phase, but it might not be the most kid friendly as far as pool access or playgrounds. You might prefer being in a phase with more things for kids. Maybe if you search their web site you can decide on a phase based on what's nearby in terms of pools, playgrounds, the General Store, etc. Try to find a map of the whole property.

Looking at this resort map, I think I'd like the Spa phase because it is close to so many activities and the "Super Pool".
