I am in the hunt for a [specific Wyndham resort.] I placed a wish to buy ad for wyndham resort but I specifically want [specific Wyndham resort.]. I guess as a Tug member I can place more than one ad, so should I also put an ad selecting weeks, which means I could show the ad under the Florida gulf coast area, which would be more specific, and under comments state that I want a Wyndham property?

I have seen an ad for this resort placed in sellmytimesharsnow.com. The price was a little more than $4,000 for 168000 points every other year which would be perfect. I did send an inquiry and I may be willing to pay $3000 for this resort. Anyone have experience with sellmytimesharesnow.com?

I believe I can buy at a better price if I am willing to wait, but I have no idea how often listings will come up for that specific property as it is not a very large resort (Sandestin is huge but the actual resort does not appear to have many units). If I could get property for $3000 I don't think it would be an outrageous price so I am torn between taking a little risk of not being able to get property or overpaying to get it now.

I think their escrow service is an additional fee but not certain.

As far as the transaction being "safe", that is probably an illusion when dealing with timeshares. The closing company does not carry any burden beyond clerical work. You have to perform your own due diligence through and through. The closing company will release the funds to the seller "prior" to recording the deed. It has to be this way. The seller will already be paid in full prior to the resort transfer. If something is wrong at the resort like past due fees or the ownership is not what you bargained you will not know by default until it is too late.

Make sure you perform thorough due diligence and have a clear purchase agreement.

The Wish Ads are organized by resort name, so I'd post it under the name of the resort - I just checked and the resort you are looking for is one of the categories.

Marketplace > log-in > Wish Ads/Place New Ad > Agree to terms > Want to Buy > Continue > Weeks at a specific resort beginning in the year 2015 > Put the name of the resort in the search box > select resort > post Ad

I really want a specific resort but am wondering if I should be more patient because.

[Related posts merged]

the property I want to buy is 168000 points every other year. A two bedroom deluxe prime season is 175000 points. Every other year is perfect but we may want to go during prime season from time to time. So my thinking is we at least can book two months earlier if we buy the property and this should help make it easier to book. My concern is if waiting a little longer and getting the property with more points will make it easier to book during the summer.

My biggest worry is not being able to get into the property as there are not a whole lot of units. I can get the 168000 point deed now with sellmytimeshares.com now but I know I would be overpaying a little and as I said I worry I still could have a hard time booking for summer.

The property is [specific Wyndham resort] and we are not planning on going there again for at least two years, but of course that means we would need to book in about a year. Should I be more patient? I know this is probably a tough call.

We would have more points than what we need but I will make another post asking advice on how to use points to pay mf. In the past I always thought it was not efficient to use points for anything but booking rooms.

A gentle request: When you post, "I want to buy at XYZ resort," in the forums - it's the same thing as posting a Want Ad, which we don't permit in the discussion forums. Please write your posts as a abstract question, rather than saying "I want to buy," and that way you comply with the forum rules, and get your questions answered.
