Hello.

I'm thinking of buying a week at woodstone at massanutten. I have the option of a 2 bedroom lockout unit for week 52 or week 25. Does anyone know which week would have a higher trade power? Also, would it be much difference in trade power to deposit the two bedrooms separately vs. depositing it as a two bedroom. I don't know which season is more popular, the summer (with golf) or winter (with skiing).

any advice

thanks

hello,

I can't respond specifically to your question but just wanted to say we stayed there for skiing the second week of january last year and our car was alone in the parking lot most of the time. Not sure if it was the warmer weather and lack of snow or what. the ski resort itself had quite a few people but no lift lines.

We stayed at Woodstone at Massanutten in the late summer a few years back. Was plenty to do in the summer, parking lot was always full late night & early morning. Week 25 is late June .. no? Kids would be out of school, and familys looking for vacations ............. Just a thought ......;)

Unless you need/want to use a week 25 or 52 at Massanutten each year, don't buy here to trade.

The resort has many last call, rentals, availability in all seasons and they are building more units. Many times RCI has last calls and rentals for less than maintenance fees.

We stayed in the upper 2BR unit one summer and were constantly being asked to keep quiet althought we were not doing anything to cause noise. Either the people downstairs were paranoid about the least noise or the construction of the unit doesn't abate much noise between floors. Always remember this and if we ever return I might want a lower unit (on second thought, this might not be such a great idea!!)
