Is anyone familiar with lotsapoodles on ebay? This person has several interesting properties for auction. However, there is very little history on this individual. Is this an established vendor returning under a new identity so as to avoid recognition?

Zero - Feedback Seller

Could be anybody

Auction text is pure plagerism (Copy/Paste)

Insist on your own closing company - they Probably won't budge on that

If it's such a bargain, insist on credit card payment, be aware of any timelines for recording a dispute for non delivery

lotsapoodles

Has anybody asked the seller any questions? Who are they using for closing etc.? If you look at "see other items" this zero feedback seller actually has 4 timeshare auctions going at once. How are they handling Hilton's ROFR etc.? Looks like several red flags here, but it also could be a legitimate seller if they do all the right things.

Here is a link to one of the auctions.

Be very careful with a new seller. This could VERY WELL be Wanted Weeks under a pseudonym. Shaun Fletcher of Wanted Weeks/ Resort Transfer Services/ Timeshare Rescue has yet to close on a Wyndham points package we bought in May of 2008. It has now been nearly 15 months.

Insist on escrow and ask for the license number of that escrow company, then check it out with the state they are located.

I'm looking at an auction by tsteddy09 who has 0 feedback

I asked the question, who is the closing company (since none was listed) and was the $100 transfer fee a fee charged by the resort. I also asked if I could choose my own closing company. This seller is out of CO. Since I don't want to get into any dealings that I experienced personally (though to not the same extent as others) with the likes of Shaun Fletcher, I would only be interested if I can choose the closing company.

The seller responded back that he had used several closing companies in the past with good results and would consider allowing me to choose the closing company. The seller also indicated that the $100 transfer fee was what the resort charged. Shaun charged a $100 transfer fee even though the resort didn't charge this fee. When I questioned him, after the fact, he indicated that was a personal fee he charged to conduct business.

I will do my due diligence. If I decide to bid and win, I will choose the closing company. If this seller doesn't allow that, then I won't complete the transaction.

After the Wanted Weeks fiasco that still continues to play out for many, I have no intention of getting into something like that again, no matter the price or desire to own the property. It's not worth it.

Believe me, I'm skeptical of this seller--no feedback, several properties for sale, no info on closing services, out of CO.....Could it be who I think it is?

I agree, hmmmmmmmmmm!

Looks like lotsapoodle and tsteddy09 auctions have a lot in common besides their zero feedback. They all have $350 closing costs and $100 transfer fee. They also all have about the same amount of time left in their auctions.

Here is a link to lotsapoodle's auctions:

Here is alink to tsteddy09's auctions:

Hmmmmmmm.........

I could be wrong, but I just felt a little sense of deja vu when I got my response back from the seller when he answered my question and finished with "Thanks for your question and good luck!"

"Hello, I am open to a closing company but have also used a few in the past that have proven to be trustworthy. The transfer fee is what the resort quoted me plus the closing company's costs. Thanks for your question and good luck!"

I'm going to call the resort tomorrow and ask about the transfer fee and see if that's legit.

I posted a request for a Tug rating on

Timeshare Transfers, Inc. Castle Rock Colorado

They did process a credit to my credit card, but they seemed too close to the transaction and the "eBay seller" all but dropped from the face of the earth georgainproperties ( -1 ) <- Mine

My Seller who insisted on using the Closing Company listed the properties in Denver

TSTeddy09 lists his properties in Castle Rock Colorado

Lotsapoodles syas he's in AThens GA

Okay, I just got this follow-up email from tsteddy09

"Hi again! After receiving the same question from a
few other ebay members about the transfer fee I
called the resort again and this time they told me
the transfer went through RCI and I believe RCi
eliminated the transfer fee if I'm correct. I then
tried to search around the internet for the
transfer fee and came up short. That said, if you
have any further information regarding the cost of
the transfer please let me know. Thanks."

Any thoughts on this? I have my own thoughts. Maybe someone is monitoring the TUG Buy/Sell/Rent board and saw the thread referencing an eBay Seller and saw my post indicating I was going to call the resort to verify things regarding the transfer fee.

I love the one that the resort was called and told the transfer goes through RCI. That could be referring to an RCI Points Transfer, which is a $100 fee for the transfer to the RCI Points account if you already have an RCI Points membership. However, the listing does not indicate anything about this week being in RCI Points. This resort is a Points Resort; although I know there are weeks that haven't been converted.

Either this is a very unknowledgeable seller that may or may not be legitimate or maybe it's someone feigning ignorance because they know that many on eBay who buy timeshares don't know to do their due diligence and, even those that do; may not know to use their own escrow/closing company with a newly registered (0 feedback) seller who just may be someone with many former IDs on eBay that left folks without their cash and their purchased timeshare.

I'm tempted to ask the seller if he/she is currently or formerly affiliated with Wanted Weeks.

"I'm going to follow-up with the resort tomorrow. Your listing does not indicate that this is an RCI Points purchase. I know in previous RCI Points timeshare purchases that I have made that there is a $100 fee through RCI if the buyer already has an established RCI Points membership. RCI does not charge a transfer fee for a Weeks resort since the Buyer would not be obligated to join RCI. I'm very confused by this follow-up email. Is this a personal timeshare ownership that you are selling? It lists Kissimmee as the City, but the timeshare listed is actually located in Sunny Isles. "

Denise ????

here is the URL of the suspected in house closing company ?

I couldn't tie it to Wanted Weeks but . ...

timesharetransfers.com

Don't know what this means, but I notice the phone number on their website is 408-914-2474, which is in the San Jose area.

No response back on this email to the Seller nor a subsequent email today.

I asked earlier today whether the 2009 special assessment at the resort, which was due on 6/20/09, has been paid.

The lines of communication seem to have closed up on this one. Maybe I'm jumping to conclusions and perhaps the Seller just hasn't had internet access in order to respond to my questions.

I believe tsteddy is Shaun Fletcher. The listing I was looking at today says Castle Rock, CO. Although Vacation Solutions is also based in Colorado. I believe both of these ebay names are Shaun Fletcher.

if you credit card was already processed I would only let this thing hang out for no more than 50 days.. after 60 days you loose the right to challenge or dispute the charge and you will loose your money if the deal is a scam.

let them know at day 50 you will dispute the charge with your credit card company, DON'T let them soft peddle you and say "we are close to getting this done" and not do the dispute..

you can dispute and after the fact undispute after the deal is completed all the way.. that will give them a kick in the butt for sure cause the CC company will be in the mix now..

I believe tsteddy09 is Shaun Fletcher also.

I asked a lot of questions about the timeshare that I was interested in bidding on, but only received answers to most of the questions--not all. There was no mention of the 2009 special assessment, which was supposed to have been paid by July. When I asked if it had been paid, the seller indicated "not all of it". When I asked if this was a personal ownership, I got no response to that question. When I asked about using the closing company of my choice, he indicated that he would be "open" to it, but had a couple of reputable closing companies that he uses.

I truly believe it is Shaun Fletcher. The timeshare I was interested in bidding on got a winning bidder. It wasn't me. I didn't bid.

I dealt with Shaun Fletcher once and got through it only because I filed a dispute with my credit card company. I don't want any more dealings with that guy. I think it's terrible that eBay lets this guy keep re-emerging as a new seller when he's left so many unresolved issues in his wake from previous sales.

tsteddy09 now has the first feedback (-1)

Seller misleading and unresponsive. Contact info was not valid. Escrow ??? Buyer: surf49rick ( 0 ) Aug-28-09 14:22

Reply by tsteddy09 (Aug-28-09 16:02):
This user bought property then refused to pay. Negative feedback unnecessary!!

Lakeside Terrace in the Vail Valley (#270444067582) US $0.99

I'm not surprised though. I'm glad surf49rick didn't complete the transaction. He just saved himself a lot of heartache and frustration.

This one went for $.99. However, the auction I was interested in, but did not bid on went for over $1500. It's very sad that eBay let's this person keep reincarnating himself over and over.

In this thread I was able to tie timesharetransfers.com to Kristopher Chavez
http://www.tugbbs.com/forums/showthread.php?t=105365

In the Wanted Weeks/Shaun Fletcher Mega Thread it was alleged tied Kristopher Chavez to Wanted Weeks, I included that quote but cannot confiirm myself

No offense to any Coloradoians but Castle Rock can't be that big ?
