Are all Carlsbad Resorts out of HGVC if you buy resale?

This has been the subject of much confusion. Marbrisa, at least, seems to allow resale purchasers to buy in, albeit for a high price. But others, not so.

From a January thread:
bosco0633:
The nice thing to remember as well, is that last year Marbrisa opened its resale, by allowing a resale purchase a one time opportunity to join the HGVC network. It is an extra 950.00 upon sign up, but well worth it. I think that they realized that the marbrisa resale market was going to fall apart without this option so they changed it.

Garnet:
... Hilton decided that CA was a great mainland location to add to their portfolio --with not much prime So Cal beach areas available, Hilton decided to put a real stake in Marbrisa -- resale or developer, they want the weeks in their system...[and] be happy to accept $950 in the hopes that the resale party will be part of the HGVC (and deposit a So Cal week for points for others, as they would like this inventory).

Grand Pacific Palisades and Carlsbad Seapointe are then out of consideration for resale purchase if one wishes to participate in the HGVC system (barring making an additional developer purchase at MarBrisa).

Exactly. Could change in the future-I don't know and wouldn't plan on it.

In regards to Marbrisa resales.... It used to be that if one purchased a resale Marbrisa week and wanted to join HGVC, one needed to purchase another developer week and then HGVC would "accept" the resale week into HGVC.

Then HGCV changed it to be that they would accept a resale Marbrisa week if one was willing to pay $950 or so.

Then, before Christmas I bid and won a Marbrisa week 31 (2 bed, park view, would be 7000 pts in HGVC). I paid the $950 or so to have it in the HGVC. I have the deed in my name, but-still, still, have not heard from Hilton. Ive been waiting to officially say HGVC will accept (at their discretion, of course) a resale Marbrisa week.

Incidentally, I own one week (eoy) week 26 at Marbrisa that we purchased with that funny equity trade in thing and they "accepted" my GPP week 32 into HGVC. I don't think this will affect the resale Marbrisa week 31 either way being accepted into HGVC or not.

Seapointe is on Surfside Lane
GPP is on Armada
not sure about Marbrisa.
maybe I am missing some.
