Has anybody gotten one of these Ecolab sweep notices before? It says they’ll be treating the Villa tomorrow and that it’s “routine,” but aside from that not much information. Every Villa on the floor got one of these. A little surprised about the short notice if it’s really just “routine…”

I’m at Ko’Olina right now and got one of these notices on the door when we returned to the villla this evening. I’m under the impression that in Hawaii they do a lot of spraying for pests at the resorts and some of it is preventative.

I’m not thrilled about the lack of transparency and potentially being exposed to unknown pest-control chemicals. It’s clear they timed the notification to minimize the window for guests with complaints or concerns.

Anybody heard of MVC poisoning any guests? Probably safe enough at Ko'Olina.

I would suspect and hope that this is routine. Without proper treatment, you probably wouldn't want to stay there long. We find notices like these about window cleaning, fire extinguisher inspection, fire alarm inspection, etc. The notice is not more than a day or two in advance.

With all the complaining about increased MF, limited trade availability, point exchange availability and view placement, owners are becoming a pest to Management. I would be careful until I better understood what pests they are looking to rid themselves of.
