Global Entry processing now 13-14 months

I made an inquiry about my Global Entry application that I made in April 2023 and got an email with the following “average processing times:

Global Entry-13-14 months
SENTRI-up to 2 years
NEXUS-16-18 months

There is different, shorter time lines on the site. It obviously needs to be updated. The weird thing is my husband applied the day before me and was approved the next day.

Same with wife and I. I did my renewal May of last year and still waiting for it. I did my wife's renewal a few weeks later and she already received hers in like 6 weeks. So very strange and uneven timing.

I wonder if anyone can beat this wait time discrepancy.

My three daughters’ renewal applications, and mine, were submitted in ‘22. Two girls were approved without interviews, I finally interviewed in person last Jan (and had the kind officer check to make sure there was no particular reason for the holdup on the middle child’s renewal application), and that last daughter’s application, submitted in April ‘22 is still pending review.

Thankfully, her very expired card and benefits are still honored!

Yeah, you definitely want to renew before it expires. Mine took about 11 months, no interview.
