Hello to all
I have a question about the Grand Mayan in Nuevo. We've stayed at the Mayan Palace there and it was a long walk to catch the bus. (taxis are a bit expensive into PV). So is the Grand Mayan farther from the bus stop or closer. I wanted to know before I consider exchanging there.
thanks
Pat:)

It never seemed that long a walk

The bus stop is just down past the Sea Garden, which is about 5 minutes from the Grand Mayan, maybe 7 from the Mayan Palace.

The restaurant at the Sea Garden has some Mexican food items, all very affordable. When we were at the GM in January, the breakfast buffet was 2 for 1 from 7-9am.

If you do get there, ask for Alex at the main bell stand. His mother makes the best tamales..

It will cost you a tip of about $1 (discretionary) but from the MP you can call the Front Desk and ask for a golf cart pickup to the desk and that will save you about a 1/4 mile hike. I'm somewhat handicapped so I'm familiar with this maneuver.:)
