Can I enroll my SDO week another way?
Your SDO points will be about .61 MF/point. You can rent for about 10 cents more per point. It will take a lot of rentals and lock offs to make up $10,000+ Also, Abound usage is expensive to begin with. Just enroll your Marriott and see how you like it.

We did an Owners Update at Grand Chateau a couple of weeks ago too.

We were told “You hit the lottery with your resale purchases, it would cost about $200,000 based on todays price per point”. We rolled our eyes and listened to the rest of the presentation. The biggest disappointment for me was when we were told we’d be able to use points at a 30% discount if we bought points (3000 minimum), which would also bring all our weeks into Abound and put us at Chairman, and give us just under 15,000 annually. I’m disappointed because at no point did the salesperson state the 30% is only valid 60 days prior to check in. I don’t tnink we would have bought the points, but were intrigued enough to research if it might be worth it, but after finding out about being misled, we didn’t give it another thought.

I wouldn't assume they are being dishonest. Sales hates to waste their time.

Their computer might not have that information. Remember MVC and Vistana IT is not the best. We went to a presentation at WKV and they spent the entire time trying to convince us to enroll our resale WKORV which is already grandfathered into Abound Aug 2023 and we have an account and points that we used. In fact we used Abound points for that trip.

We have another WKV resale post 2022 that is unenrolled and they never discussed enrolling that one. They wasted their time and I didn't have the heart to correct them since we weren't going to buy and wanted to close the meeting ASAP.
The sales sheet for the mark shows what you own and when you bought it. Also, all the "updates" you have been on including dates. They 100% knew the MVC could be enrolled for free but tried to charge tens of thousands to do so. This is fraud, plain and simple.

Yes for sure it was deliberate. They even still do it to people who purchased directly from MVC.

Except you'd only enroll 1 resale week for that 3000 point purchase. They'd play the same game they did with my by saying you buy 3000 now and enroll one week while making an agreement to buy the rest of the points needed later to enroll the rest of the resale weeks.
