Hello, I'm a TUG member for a few years however first time I use forum. Looking for advice on my current situation. I was able to recently rescind on a Vacation Club membership within the required 8 days. However, they were suppose to respond regarding the decision and process today and I received no response. Not sure what next steps I should take. Down payment was made via Credit Card. Should I move forward with contacting Credit Card? Contract states 15 days for the return of monies. Is this a sign that I should contact lawyer? Vacation Club is outside of US.

Who says they were supposed to respond? Often, the first confirmation is the posting of a credit card refund, and that can take 45 days. I would inform the CC that a rescission is pending. What kind of lawyer would you contact? No US based law has anything to say about foreign vacation club memberships. Usually, these have no property ownership involved. Any refund of what you have paid is voluntary on their part. What do you suppose the chances are of that? If they have the ability to charge your credit card going forward, consider closing that account after the time passes for a refund and before ongoing charges occur.

Good Luck!

Jim

@Zorra I see you are listed as a newbie. It may be that your membership in TUG has expired, or wasn't registered. If your membership was paid, you got an email with a code to put in your profile.
Otherwise, after you make a few posts, your status will change to 'Guest'. Welcome back.
