Scammer!!! SUPERBENNETT aka Steven Steele

Hi, user superbennett contacted me about two nights and bonnett creek march 29&30 for 180. I paid them on Venmo and after many lies back and forth I had no coinformation and no reservation for that hotel.

Steven Steele as known on Venmo and superbennett has now ghosted me and refuses to refund my money after saying they would.
BE WARNED about him!!!! I lost $180 on this scammer!

im curious how they were able to circumvent the verification rules/suggestions?

Hey @beachgirl79 be sure to send all your communications with Steven Steele to the Venmo team and ask for them to review your transaction.

A similar situation happened to me and they refunded me without much delay. I took screenshots of our text messages showing that the scammer stopped responding after I sent the money and they were very good about reversing the payment.

I hope you get your money back and can put this experience behind you quickly.

I never got heard back from the OP on this.

always always always follow the TUG rental verification suggestions before sending payment!

There is no guarantee on anything in life, but also no reason to make it easier on the scammers by ignoring the most common red flags!

Wow, I got scammed on Venmo and they told me they don't reimburse for scammers and wouldn't handle it at all. I was so upset. The guy was pretending to be a friend of mine and was "selling" some things due to a move. Well, I knew my friend had thought of moving so I didn't think much of it and sent $$ and of course, was blocked by him immediately and he took off with my $$ and I got nothing.
