Our Grandchildren's Spring Break is March 10-18, 2007 and we are thinking of taking them to Sedona. They will be 13 and 10. How is Sedona this time of the year? And how is the Grand Canyon this time of the year?

We went to Sedona in March about 3-4 years ago. It was a little chili but nice and sunny. A jacket was all that we needed. However, it was colder at Grand Canyon, and we definitely needed our coats. I remember that it had traces of snow still on the ground. However, we were still able to enjoy the area.

We are also going next March. I'm hoping for an early spring with warm temps but I'm sure it will be beautiful no matter what.

We were there late March of 05. Sunny but cool, cold as you went higher, there was snow on the ground at the rest stop in Oak Creek Canyon. Did not go to GC but I can imagine it was much colder as it is much higher. Not pool weather but was nice for us.

We have been to Sedona in March twice in the past. The weather varied a great deal. Some days we were in shorts and other days it snowed in the surrounding mountains and we wore coats. The area is lovely and we were not put off by the occasional cool day. We stayed at Sedona Pines, a few minutes out of town but with a pool that is heated to 85 degrees year round and a nice large adult spa.

I visit often this time of the year and have had cold nights but warm sunny days most of the time.
March Weather however can be really unpredictable in Sedona

Spent a week in Sedona this past mid March and the first three days were warm and shorts weather. The second half of the week a cold front came thru and became rainy and then dumped snow on Sedona.

We were in Sedona this March 8 - 18 and experienced a snowstorm. Apparently 141 days of drought ended the weekend we got there. We drove up to the Grand Canyon after the storm and everything was covered in snow but bright and sunny. It was difficult to walk because the snow was packed and it was quite slippery. Nonetheless it was gorgeous. Our kids aged 16 and 13 were not bothered in the least by the weather and enjoyed themselves at the Grand Canyon and in Sedona. We stayed at Arroyo Roble which had an indoor pool and rec facilities. There was no shortage of things to do.
