Hello,

New to the site and appreciate being added.

I have a Melia Vacation Club "Membership" home property in Cozumel I'm interested in selling, getting ride of.

After reading several threads, I've see people mention "Just stop paying" and they will repossess the unit. Is this even an option?

It's paid off other than annual maintenance. I'm disabled now with Parkinson's and don't travel anymore. With 36 year remaining on the agreement I'm just throwing money away.

Vacation clubs are like Costco memberships. And like Costco, if you stop paying they won’t let you in the door. Not much more they can do beyond that. Just stop paying.

You will still get nasty calls asking for money. So keep that in mind. They would rather keep getting money from you than trying to sell another membership to replace it.
