We are looking at a resale week on Redweek. Broker listed is Mat from A Timeshare Broker from Winter Garden, Florida. Does anyone have experience working with this broker/company? Also this is our first venture into purchasing a resale. So any red flags to be aware of?

1) Google this person and search for a license and reviews.

2) Most important: Is there an independent closing company for escrow? Make the offer contingent on clean title, estoppel from the developer to ensure no back maintenance fees, no mortgage and the unit is as advertised. If they use something like LT Transfers or Resort Closings you will be okay because the escrow companies do the lions share of the paperwork and don't release payment until everything is in order. Some resale brokers use their own inhouse closing company. This could be a red flag unless the broker is well known.
