From the FAQ

5. Will Bluegreen Vacations resorts become available to Members without HGV Max benefits?

Bluegreen Vacations resorts that become part of the larger HGV portfolio will be available for booking to Members with HGV Max benefits only. Members who are not part of HGV Max still have the option to join the program through an additional purchase or enjoy the many features and benefits of their existing Club membership.
Yea, I don't really see the big value for *anyone* with what Max is and what it costs. Do the other systems have lots of inventory at 6 months? Cause HGVC doesn't really IME. Maybe Max would be worth a small yearly fee, but to have to buy a developer week is pretty insane to get another exchange that is limited to such a short window IMO. Honestly, these acquisitions just cause confusion the weird way they're not really integrated.

Hi All! Forgive me for not understanding some of this Hilton stuff... but I am current points member with Blue green- now I bought resale so I am not sure what, if any, benefits I will receive?

What is the Max program? and I saw other mention Wyndham? Is Wyndham also affiliated with Hilton?
You will be able to enjoy your system just as you have been. You may see some upgrades to the resort to bring it acceptable to Hilton Hotels. Besides sunscreen and Hilton salespeople, your ownership shouldn’t change. HGVC has treated us resale owners very well and, IMO I don’t think they will change what you can do.

Wyndham owns RCI and HGVC has an exclusive agreement with RCI as their external exchange company. Otherwise, Wyndham is a competitor to HGV.

Better question - Is there an actual property in the Bluegreen Portfolio that is appealing? I've seen some pictures in other threads, and I've been disgusted.

I've actually seen two or three former-Diamond properties that have caught my eye. I'm just going to do an RCI Trade though, to get in there.

The property that interests me is Tradewinds St Pete Beach, but that’s because of the location. I wouldn’t purchase into Max just for that property.

NP because most of us don't know either. I am certain that TS salespeople are using the confusion to their advantage because it certainly is confusing. Many owners don't know the club they are actually in. They will just say HgvMax. The underlining club which an owner belongs to can make a significant difference to the answer to their question.

That's a feature (intentional), not a bug (accidental)...

It's been several years now, but BG Wilderness Club at Big Cedar was very nice. I think they had some beachfront units at Shoreline Towers in Gulf Shores Alabama. The VRI managed units there were large but nothing special other than the location and view.

High demand BG resorts (wilderness Club Big Cedar, Hammocks at Marathon, La Cabana Aruba, Big SKy Montana,Pona Kai Hawaii) must be booked at 11 months out. Is there availability at 6 months, yes, at less popular resorts & low season. Also need to take into account that many are called associate resorts which means Bluegreen owns some inventory and might manage the property but there is limited availability for everyone.

GT75: "No"

Not exactly 100% a "No"... Hilton uses RCI for external exchanges, which is really Wyndham. DVC, Mariott, and others mostly use Interval (II).
Thank you! We also can utilize RCI and some resorts can II. I would love to be able to use II because some of my favorite resorts have moved there! I own at Mountain Run at Boyne in Michigan, super fun resort all year round. Big ski place in the winter.

Resale or retail, all owners have the same shot at all reservations, 11 months out at midnight eastern. There is a wait list for metal owners but since 8/2/2020 it is no longer effective. Prior to that date, wait list requests were worked manually 2-3 days before 11 months. Now it is automated and starts running at midnight with access like everyone else.

I own at Bluegreen and not sure which resorts you are referring. Everywhere I have stayed has been very nice! Popular resorts are Pono Kai in Kauai, one in marathon key, Big Cedar Lodge and one in Aruba. I am curious as to which resorts you are talking about? I normally stick to my home resort in Michigan for long weekends.

Welcome to the HGVC forum! Wife and I were think about going for an RCI last call there. We’re from Michigan so it about a 4 hour drive from where we live.
