Will say that Clark Howard has probably contributed to more timeshare owners finding TUG than any other single person out there due to his regularly referring his listeners who ask about timeshares to go to TUG for help and advice for the past 20 years or more!

Clark is the man!

here is his latest podcast talking about timeshares where that recent "article that was really an ad" from USA Today caught his attention and even he called it out as an ad vs a researched article (its in the middle of the episode):

and his latest blog post that provides TUG advice for his listeners as well!

please be sure to like/subscribe to his posts and or podcasts....one of the biggest mainstream media personalities that actually gives GREAT advice on timeshares and timesharing!

I found TUG because of Clark Howard over 18 years ago. This and his website are daily "must reads".

I just wish the first ad on his post wasn't for www.sellmytimesharenow.com. They are exactly who he is warning readers about.

I suspect these are Google Ads? The web page owners don't really control what ads get placed, but they can block certain advertisers.

if you mean the google ad at the top, yea that is served up by google and based on your browsing history etc.

while there is no way to control what google ad is displayed at any given time (all controlled by google), you can block advertisers from having their ads displayed on your site.

our block list is more than 1000 advertisers long :(

actually you can do this by clicking the little links in the very corner of a google ad (assuming its a google ad)

the arrow provides you the option to see who the advertiser is, and actually report the ad if its inappropriate.

the x will remove the ad and ask for a few questions as to why you dont want to see that ad in the future!

and of course clicking on the ad will cost the advertiser whatever they are bidding on to achieve clicks!

Not sure if it is an AdSense for YouTube thing or not, but I only have the ability to block 500 advertisers. I only have 12 on the blocked list. Not nearly as many of these outfits advertise on YouTube.

my biggest complaint is that those "lists" are not shared between adsense and youtube, thus im back to having to manually enter them as i see them pop up on my own videos (or users report them to me).

are you blocking the urls? or the actual advertiser ids via the ad review center?

I never see adds when I use Tug. I think it's because I'm a member.

I’m blocking urls. I don’t have an ad review center so i don’t think that is a thing in AdSense for YoyTube. I can send you the list of urls i block. The only way i can find to get the url is to click on an ad that is on your own video or another video that i see it on. Wesley and timeshare Tracey are the ones that advertise the most.

ah perhaps thats an adsense only thing then, I see them both within the same adsense console but was shocked to discover two comlpetely separate blocking control sections which makes absolutely zero sense to me.

at least give me an option to "use the same block list as my adsense profile" or an ability to copy them over etc.
