I just logged onto RCI's website for the first time in awhile and noticed some of the resorts now have new, recent reviews. Is this something new? The ones I looked at seem to have all been submitted this past week. There doesn't seem to be as much room for a lengthy review as we find on TUG, but it's nice to see some recent reviews there as I believe the previous reviews I'd been seeing on RCI's website were a couple of years old.

I noticed that when I go to look at the directory, there is a clickable link that says, "Be the first to review this resort!"

Also did you see that they now have star ratings (1-5 stars) on the places that actually have reviews?

I asked RCI what happened to the reviews

I e-mailed RCI and asked about the missing reviews and this is the answer that I got:

Hello,

Thank you for your e-mail.

RCI's new feature allowing members to write resort reviews is here.
Since the previous reviews were nearly two years old, they have been removed to make room for more current experiences. New reviews will be
posted as soon as members write them.

In the interim, if you wish to read reviews already available at www.IgoUgo.com, a trusted vacation-related website. Please note that if you write a review on this site, it will not appear on RCI.com.

Thank you for your interest in RCI.

Kind regards,

It looks like we go elsewhere for a review or take a chance and book and exchange and hope for the best.

As a regular contributor (author and photographer) to IgoUgo, I'm glad to see RCI recommend "us" as some of us used to write for the RCI Community which RCI dumped over onto IgoUgo over three years ago, causing us to have to fend for ourselves for a couple of months.

Once acclimated to the IgoUgo way of doing things, I'm very happy over there helping other travelers "like me" in their travel plans. I hope you will check out IgoUgo. The link to my personal list of travel journals and reviews (which does include some RCI resorts) is in my sig line.

P.S. I should take exception, however, to the description of the site as a "vacation-related" website. The site is travel related, with a lot of writings and photographs being from travel of all kinds, not just vacations.
