Ownertrades is down?

Does anyone know why ownertrades is down? I wanted to respond to an owner and ask about Destination Points availability in Orlando starting 12/8 or 12/9 for a few nights.

Yes the site has been down since Wednesday morning, Nov.27. The webhosting company had some huge problem with their server that took the site and related mail server completely down. Even worse, they lost their backups of the database -- they lost everything. Almost unbelievable. Lucky for me (ok it's not just luck) I make a backup of the site database every single morning and download it to my computer; in fact it was when I went to do that Wednesday morning that I discovered the site was down.

We are working as we speak to get the site back up with the site database restored from my Nov 26 backup, at which time all the accounts and listings should be intact.

Very wise man! Soooooooo many people don't do backups!

Oh man, nothing is ever easy! The server they have me trying to restore the database on turns out to be running an earlier version of software than the one from which I made the backup. So naturally it can't handle the backup. Geez! I hope they can quickly upgrade their server to the proper software version.

Sounds like its time to find a new web hosting company. Thats unacceptable to run a business on. Good luck I hope you can resolve it. Nothing worse then IT problems.

Back online finally (I think). What a chore! Now I have have two other sites I have to bring back, but ownertrades.com is the only one that really matters. I'd rather be somewhere sunny kicking back right now!
