Speaking of roaches another interesting bug

Once at the Sheraton, in the $1000 nightly corner suite (we'd been upgrade there for 2 nights) I found a 5 inch long 1 inch wide Vietnamese centepede which I understand is quite toxic and can give a really nasty bite.

I beat it and beat it. It is quite hard shelled and was difficult to kill. I brought it out to the fronf office staff and they were highly appreciative:hysterical:

Also the cane spiders are certainly quite large though harmless.

Those centipedes are immensely scary looking! If it makes you feel better, you will almost never see them unless they have been spraying recently. The centipedes then get ill and crawl out of wherever they are hiding to die. Also, I've heard that geckos will take those guys on and eat them for dinner - never have seen it happen, but I hope it's true!
