I just read a review on RCI and someone just stayed at the Sheraton Vistana Resort and was unhappy to be put into an older unit with 1970's decor. I thought all the sections of Vistana were going to be refurbished, is this not true? If they are all going to be updated which sections are left to be done and when are they expected to be finished? Thanks Sue

Fountains II - Feb. 2009
Falls - May 2009
Springs - June 2009
Cascades - May 2010
Courts - Aug. 2010
Spas - Jan. 2011

See "Renovations" in Starwood Owner Resources for all the details.

The review was posted on Jan.01,2010. The review didn't say which week they stayed. They mentioned the unit was not only older and in need of refurbishment, but it was mentioned the unit was dirty. I don't think there is any excuse to give someone on vacation a dirty unit. Sue

We stayed at the Calypso Cay Resort, Kissimmee one year and the carpets were so filthy that our socks were blackened from walking within the room. We were completely disgusted. You are right. There is no excuse.

Falls definitely had a '70s feel with the wood panneling (pre-reno) but the location and size/parking around the 4 unit buildings can't be beat. I really think this is going to be the place to stay post reno.

If Starwoods timeline is correct, Falls should have been completed 6 mos. ago....but that is a big if! :D

Any date on the Lakes?

Lakes was done a while ago--I think it was the first phase to get done. We stayed in a renovated Lakes unit this past June. It was very nice.
