We have been "qualified" to give our 65,000 Diamond points in the Hawaii collections back. However, they want $1,000 per contract to close the deal.
Is there a way out?

How many contracts do you have? The other bad news with it being so late in the year, in addition to the $4000+ that they will probably charge, they will want you to prepay next years MF's without getting any use from those points.

1000-1200 per contract has been the standard fee to surrender DRI ownerships back for some time now.

depending on "where" contracts were signed...in what state, that is the fee you will pay. When a contract is signed, and you used it....it is what it is to get out of it. We learned the hard way - 5 or 6 contracts, maintenance fees over $9,000 and covid! no time to use points and travel feeling medically safe, so we went thru Transitions. We were taught (we are 70yrs old) that when you sign a contract....car, house, motor coach, tractor you must abide by the contract. Like many others trying to get out, The Diamond Contracts are not clear. Alas, be aware of what you but your signature on........one of the many lessons in life....and many time costly.

Have you tried giving them away? Someone may be interested in taking over the points.
