OK, so I got suckered in to buying a Royal Resort TS in LV a couple of years ago on the promise they were building a new tower. Well the tower never went up and the owners filed for bankruptcy and now there are new owners and no new tower

Someone called me the other day from Vacation Travel club about taking over my deeded property at The Royal Resort…saying

They would give me 4 weeks a year with no Maintenance Fee and only annual cost of $169 a year with $199 for a trade each week.

The web-site they gave me was www.royalvep.com which is a site for Royal Owners they said.

I think the real link is http://www.vacationtravelclub.com/

Anyone every hear of them?

There 4 week price is just under 34,000 but they would give it to me for a price of $3,990 and my royal resort. Sounds fishy to me? Anyone else get this call? I don't want to pay $4,000 something for nothing but he's saying the can move me from the Royal 25 miles out if they wanted to.

I go on there site but I can’t see any of the 3000 properties they have on inventory.

Something doesn’t seem right but I don’t know enough about this type of stuff?

Anybody have the same issue?

I can offer you the PLATINUM version of what they're offering, which normally sells for $100,000. It includes 6 weeks per year, not the measly 4 they offer. AND, today only, I'll take your old timeshare and credit you $98,000. So with my package, you'll only pay $2000, saving you $1495. Sound like a deal? :)

I think this would make me run the other way

Q: Should I sell my timeshare to "Royal VIP" or "Travel to Go"?
A: The option to sell your timeshare remains with you the individual owner. It should be noted however that Royal VIP & Travel-to-Go are both operated by the former developer of HMA sales whom recently declared bankruptcy:eek: . As with any property decision we advise owners do their diligence before making any decisions. If you have certain questions regarding a 'sales pitch' your always welcome to call Trading Places.

If it were me, I would stick with my deeded property

It sounds fishy because it is.

Most of these kinds of club sell you nothing at all.

As PA said if they said its $ 100K but I'll sell it to you for $2K you wouldn't even think about it, you know it a scam.

No one will offer you something they can sell for $34K for $4K Why would they?
