This must be new! We’ve never noticed a trolley, but we are used to just hopping in the car. Looks like red line comes as far and beyond the Worldmark, but you need to slog down (and therefore up) the hill to catch it near the AM/PM or Vons. There is a back road/hill (non-driving road) from Worldmark down to Vons and Maggio’s our favorite pizza place. We don’t do hills anymore, so not an option for us unless we left the car in the Vons parking lot. See the skinny white line between Starvation Flats and Olympic on the red map. That is Worldmark with the access road going down to the Vons shopping center.

It's trolley buses, nothing on tracks so less noticeable. https://www.bigbear.com/travel-tools/big-bear-trolley/
