Worldmark owners - do they have an advantage when exchanging with RCI?

Hello. We're long time RCI exchangers and are considering buying a Worldmark resell membership to go along with what we have. We've attended several Worldmark sales presentations (without buying) and there's a common statement made there that I am hoping that some here can comment on.
We are told that Worldmark now owns RCI (I'm sure that is true). And they say that if we deposit our Worldmark credits into RCI we have more exchange opportunities than the rest of the huddled masses. The claim is that Worldmark first "reserves or holds back" the choicest properties for their owners, then releases them to RCI members at large.
Does anyone have any real-world experience to know if this is just smoke up our noses?
Thanks in advance for your experiences!

I don't think that's true. WorldMark is part of Wyndham, and Wyndham owns RCI, as far as I recall. But I've never heard that Worldmark owners get anything better or worse than anybody else. I think this is salesweasel smoke and mirrors talking.

All lies designed to get you to buy their overpriced credits. Sales is not where you go to learn about or understand Worldmark.
Buy WM if you want access to the WM resorts. If you do purchase, instead of doubling up on RCI, you could join II via WM and expand your exchange options to include the Marriotts, Hyatt, Disney, Four Seasons, Westins etc.

We have an RCI account that accepts both WorldMark credits and deposits of weeks Resorts that we own. When we have requested the same Resort and dates using WorldMark and our week's deposits at 2 years out, the week's requests are filled first and then the Worldmark, assuming we have enough trading power with the weeks deposits. That said, we pretty much always get exactly what we request with both. (The exception is with Resorts that have rare deposits-- in which case we don't get anything.)
